aw1_0587

Right after PMA Lowepro (http://lowepro.com) found me via twitter (http://twitter.com/aweber2) that I was looking for some new camera bags. At PMA they introduced the Pro Roller X-Series (http://www.lowepro.com/prorollerx) and they wanted to know if I wanted to test one out. I quickly jumped on the opportunity because it can lead to even more success for me in the future. Continue reading

aw1_9063

About two weeks ago after I covered my last high school basketball game I thought basketball season was over. But little to he hold the Bowling Green Falcons got a first round bye in the Womens National Invitational Tournament and would host Syracuse at home. This being one of very few tournaments held at Anderson Arena it turned out to be a very exciting game.

It’s a New Year and I am off to a great start so far. I just started my new job as the contract photographer at the University of Toledo. I will be covering all kinds of sports and events that happen on campus. So to start my first assignment at the new job I shot Rhode Island who is 12-4 against Toledo who is 2 and well not so good.

Basketball season is half way over!

pburg_southview137691

Finally, basketball season is half way over! I am starting to get burned out with basketball because everything is starting to look the same and I have shot the same feature photos about ten times now. I have shot all levels of basketball, from NBA to JV. Having covered such a variety of competition levels, I have seen some crazy dunks to turnover every time a player gets the ball.

Being only 2 hours away from Cleveland I never have been to a Cleveland Cavaliers game. So I was watching Sports Center and I saw that the Cavs are about  to be the first team in 12 years to be 16-0 at home since the Orlando Magic. So I quickly looked up their schedule to see when their next home game was against a big time team. Miami Heat was the perfect opportunity for two reasons get images of Lebron James and Dwayne Wade.

Yesterday I went to Cleveland to shoot the Cleveland Cavaliers agains the Miami Heat to get some stock photos of both Lebron and Dwayne Wade and i came home with some images I was extremly happy with, but it wasn’t until I saw the advertisment across the street from Quicken Loans Arena of a giant Lebron Nike poster of him doing the signature throw powder into the air prior to tip off.

Perrysburg’s buzzer beater!

aw1_8498

I would first like to start off that I have been neglecting the blog because its FINALS WEEK and time to buckle done for the final week so I can finish up strong.

On December 6th almost two weeks ago (oops!) I shot Perrysburg vs. St. Francis boys basketball. One thing about shooting high school basketball is you never know just how exciting its going to turn out, like this game did.

I was planning on getting there early to avoid traffic and work on getting stock images and player feature shots but that didn’t happen. I got stuck in traffic and made it there just before tip off.

I am going to stop jabbing on and just post some images because I have three more posts to get done!

Savage Arena reopens with UMass vs. Toledo

aw2_1407

Tonight was one of the best basketball games I have shot so far this season. One reason was the Savage Arena will reopen after 345 days of construction. I have seen all of the renovation about every month since they started way back when. Second reason is first home game for any sport is always packed with fans and family and people coming out to support the Rockets.

Tonight was the first home game for the Bowling Green Falcons vs. Wright State and it was an extremly slow passed game atleast I thought. Its going to take me a while to get back into the swing of things as far shooting basketball and start to thing outside of the box and get creative shots during this winter.
