After being constricted to shooting inside dark dungy for almost two months covering college and high school basketball it was time to get out side in the nice weather (well kind of nice) and shoot some baseball.
I head over to Perrysburg High School to shoot the varsity baseball game. My original plan was to do a remote some were but I got there a little late and there wasn’t a really good spot to put it because most high school fields suck with shooting positions.

This was an extremely busy weekend for me. Lets start with Friday. I hung out most of the day watching football then around 1:00 pm I head to the football stadium to get ready for the battle of I-75. The battle of I-75 is a college rivalry game between the University of Toledo and the Bowling Green Falcons. Just 25 miles separate the two schools.
Back to shooting more high school football. Its starting to get old fast as the teams I have been covering are horrible or all they do is run the ball and it makes for the same old imges over and over and…… Well I guess this game wasn’t to bad because of the beautiful dark blue sky. I wanted to get something kind of cool of Perrysburg, runing out on to the field that included the sky I was thinking about getting a low angle but I haven’t done a bunch of those lately so I thought it was time to mix it up.
After a wet and wild ride in Ypsilanti, Michigan today I am going to keep this post short and sweet. Another typical Friday, I wake up at 5:30 am to go lift weights for football. Then back to bed where I catch up on my podcasts and TV shows I missed. Then around 1 pm I got a text from my boss telling me what game I would be covering and what time it started. I wasn’t really excited about this game because A) It was pouring down rain and B) I had a killer headache and couldn’t focus longer then 10 minutes at a time. I toughed it out in the rain for most of the game I got one decent action shot (see above) and a few semi decent shots then I was back to the office and get dry because I can’t stand being wet. After a quick edit I was in an out and off to bed.

Let the games begin! Not the Olympics, High School Football! I started out the night driving an hour to Clyde, Ohio to shoot Eastwood vs. Clyde. I got there a little early so I could shoot some feature photos because I knew when I got to the 2nd game of the night there would be no time to shoot features. As soon as I got there I found a parking spot and got to work. I was very surprised to find out that Clyde just had Field Turf installed a few weeks before, shooting on field turf makes shooting the game a little more enjoy able because there aren’t as many bugs but the downside is after running around and walking for a while your socks and shoes fill up with the little rubber pellets and it gets annoying!
