Mud Hens Opening Day

aw1_2877

I shot my first Minor League baseball game of the year while the action wasn’t there but the light sure was nice.  The game started at 5:30 so I arrived at the stadium around 4:30 enjoyed an awesome media lunch and some ice cream before it was time to head down to the field to start shooting features.

Laguna Beach Wedding

aw2_5926

Two weekends ago I was out in sunny California shooting my cousins wedding. I am not a big fan of shooting weddings but this wedding changed my mind completely. I am going to skip all the bullshit I have about traveling and some of the funny stories I have with that because I have three other blogs I ned to get done.

It was a relatively small wedding about 40 or 50 people. I got to the brides house while she was getting ready to shoot some feature pre wedding stuff. I am going to skip writing about each photo because I think the photos do a really good job of telling a story.

Play Ball!

aw1_0670

After being constricted to shooting inside dark dungy for almost two months covering college and high school basketball it was time to get out side in the nice weather (well kind of nice) and shoot some baseball.

I head over to Perrysburg High School to shoot the varsity baseball game. My original plan was to do a remote some  were but I got there a little late and there wasn’t a really good spot to put it because most high school fields suck with shooting positions.

Lowepro Fastpack 250 Product Review.

aw1_0587

Right after PMA Lowepro (http://lowepro.com) found me via twitter (http://twitter.com/aweber2) that I was looking for some new camera bags. At PMA they introduced the Pro Roller X-Series (http://www.lowepro.com/prorollerx) and they wanted to know if I wanted to test one out. I quickly jumped on the opportunity because it can lead to even more success for me in the future. Continue reading

WNIT: Syracuse at Bowling Green

aw1_9063

About two weeks ago after I covered my last high school basketball game I thought basketball season was over. But little to he hold the Bowling Green Falcons got a first round bye in the Womens National Invitational Tournament and would host Syracuse at home. This being one of very few tournaments held at Anderson Arena it turned out to be a very exciting game.

TKO in the 9th round!

aw1_3337
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been so busy it’s not even funny. Between School, Football, and Work I barely have any free time. But this past weekend I made sure I cleared my schedule for an awesome opportunity to shooting Boxing in Youngstown, Ohio.

Best two hockey games of my career so far!

2810_ohio_state_v_bowling_green

The #16 Ohio State Buckeyes were in town so I couldn’t pass down the opportunity. Little did I know would this be the best two days of shooting hockey that I have ever had! I covered #1 Notre Dame a few weeks ago and nothing compared to the big hitting Buckeyes of the Big Ten.

I got to the the arena pretty early because I wanted to set up a remote but I forgot my cable from the pocket wizards to the camera.  Go figure! I guess next time I should check my bag before I head to a shoot next time.

Rhode Island vs. Toledo

2810223_rhode_island_v_toledo1

It’s a New Year and I am off to a great start so far. I just started my new job as the contract photographer at the University of Toledo. I will be covering all kinds of sports and events that happen on campus. So to start my first assignment at the new job I shot Rhode Island who is 12-4 against Toledo who is 2 and well not so good.
